My name is Mary and I embrace a holistic approach to mental health, using evidence-based strategies drawn from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and other integrative approaches. CBT considers the relationship between our thoughts, feelings and behaviour in response to situations we encounter in life.
By changing how we think and what we do, we can improve how we feel. I also employ ACT, DBT, neuroscience and mindfulness principles, in order to uncover what's important to you to creating a meaningful and purpose life.
I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, perfectionism, low self-esteem, interpersonal issues, stress and adjustment.
Together, we will explore and develop a personalised approach just for you, based on what YOU want out of therapy and how I can support you to get there. The knowledge and skills gained during therapy will support your growth, change and empower you to improve your wellbeing.

I believe therapy allows us to shed the socially constructed expectations of ourselves and discover who we really are at our core!
Inspired by my own personal journey through therapy I have embarked on a long journey of learning to sit in front of clients needing support, an ear, and occasionally guidance, but mostly just needing someone to finally "see" them.
While I personally enjoy CBT, person-centered, and psychodynamic interpersonal therapy, my therapeutic approach is integrative, also drawing from personal experience to create an empathetic safe space for clients to move forward.
I can also practice secular or non-secular sessions, across spiritualities and cultures, with a neurodiversity-affirming approach.
My personal experiences of childhood trauma, marital stress and neurodiversity has shaped not only me as a person, my journey through therapy, but also me as a therapist, representing special interests for me.
When situations can seem like an untamable web, therapy can help guide the way to see life clearer, and more joyfully.

I am passionate about co-creating a purposeful, collaborative space to engage in inner-work that prioritises your needs to empower meaningful change and self-discovery.
As a qualified social worker, I like to incorporate social work theories and approaches into counselling work. Ecological Systems Theory, Attachment Theory, Motivational Theory, Feminist Theory and Psychosocial Theory are crucial to creating positive change as they acknowledge societal and environmental structures that can alter human experiences.
My focus is to support you to navigate your environment - not change who you are - to achieve your goals. I also practice foundational Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.

Our romantic relationships in particular are the space in which our deepest triggers often appear as ruptures and pain from past relationships continue to reoccur. These triggers bring attention to what needs to be acknowledged, healed and integrated for healthier bonds.
